something about mitsutada and kashagiri bonding over ookurikara-- kasha thinking his older brother is so cool while mitsutada thinks karachan is so cute.
when kashagiri first arrives at the citadel, kasen is not too thrilled with the idea of another hiromitsu sword, given his grievances with ookurikara. but he's surprised to find that kashagiri is actually rather polite, just a little shy.
ookurikara is very touch averse. mitsutada is somehow the exception to that. sada and kasha are fine too. other than that he either freezes up if anyone so much as gets into his personal space or abruptly shoves them away.
hasebe is somehow both the one that gets the most mad at mitsutada and ookurikara for 'fooling around' in the kitchen and also the most supportive of their relationship-- he would officiate their wedding.
mitsutada rarely takes off his eyepatch and gloves as they hide burn scars. the only person who's seen him without them is ookurikara.
manba calling mikazuki kusojiji. kara calling tsuru kusojiji. chougi calling mitsutada kusojiji.
hana had the biggest crush on mitsutada. it was to the point where she couldn't even look at his face without getting woozy. it didn't help that he was on the first unit (which at the time also consisted of yamanbagiri, mikazuki, ookurikara, tsurumaru, and ishikirimaru). at this point she hasn't completely gotten over it but at least she can interact with him normally now. also he's the current attendant so it would be a problem if she was swooning all the time.
in terms of spicy food tolerance, when ranking the entire citadel, hana is in third place, ookurikara is in second, and in first place is... kikkou. though no one knows if kikkou can actually handle the spices or if it's just him being a masochist.
the current first unit consists of ookurikara, mitsutada, tsurumaru, sada, fudou, and hasebe. for some reason hana jokingly calls them the memesquad. probably due to tsurumaru's antics, sada (and sometimes fudou) encouraging said antics, hasebe being angry about it, and mitsutada and ookurikara somehow being off in their own little world while the rest of the unit is squabbling over nothing.
every year for the month of halloween tsurumaru puts up a ton of spooky decor, which includes a giant skeleton that he will move to different parts of the house to freak everyone out.
in order of who does best to worst with horror movies: tsurumaru > souza and yagen > mitsutada > hasebe > kashagiri > sada and fudou > ookurikara
horror movies with this group is just kasha and a screaming fudou clinging to a screaming sada, ookurikara not even being able to look at the screen and burying his head in mitsutada's chest, hasebe screaming and also clinging to mitsutada because if he tried to cling to souza then souza would shove him off, mitsutada trying to keep his cool but failing and looks terrified, souza and yagen looking only mildly startled, and tsurumaru laughing while eating popcorn.
the neighboring house consists of fukushima, jikkyuu, the rest of the osafune, and the ichimonji. more often than not they come over to visit, even though they have the bigger house. everyone wants mitsutada's cooking. goke and himetsuru seem to have adopted kashagiri. fukushima and jikkyuu are here to embarrass their younger brother. nansen is just here for kashagiri's cat.
fudou has an energy drink addiction while sada has a juice addiction. hasebe has a coffee addiction, and while mitsutada doesn't really have a 'coffee addiction' per se, he cannot function in the morning without an espresso. if he doesn't get his espresso he will cling to ookurikara, who wouldn't mind the extra affection first thing in the morning if it didn't come with everyone in the kitchen staring at them. complete with fudou covering kasha and sada's eyes, hasebe getting mad about pda, and tsurumaru thinking this is the funniest thing ever. yagen runs to the conbini to stock up on the espresso and souza just ignores the commotion.
hasebe is constantly trying to one-up mitsutada, who seems to make more sales than the rest of the sales department combined, but mitsutada is too charismatic and hasebe would be lying if he said he didn't find him attractive. at some point he's convinced mitsutada is using underhanded tactics, but no, he isn't, he's just really good at telling people what they want to hear.
souza thinks everyone at this company is stupid. especially their boss, tsurumaru. souza isn't particularly fond of tsurumaru's boss either, as no one can really tell what mikazuki is thinking.
mitsutada is ookurikara's one and only. ookurikara had never been in a relationship before and had never felt any kind of attraction before, so mitsutada was his first time in more ways than one. they are so in love with each other all their friends comment on how sappy they are. normally ookurikara doesn't like talking about how he feels, but mitsutada is so kind and accepting and never pushes ookurikara to talk if he doesn't want to.
due to ookurikara's quiet and maybe somewhat solemn nature, mitsutada is often hit by the urge to hug him. they'll be doing nothing in particular and mitsutada will wrap his arms around him and just hold him. and ookurikara slides his arms around mitsutada and leans into his embrace, resting his head against mitsutada's chest and basking in the warmth.

mitsutada and ookurikara have a child named hikaru (the kanji is the same as the kanji for mitsu). hikaru basically resembles ookurikara (same deadpan expression, same being annoyed at tsurumaru for no reason). while the kid is technically his niece, he and mitsutada are basically her parents, kashagiri and sada are basically her older brothers. sada calls her 'hii-chan'
